OOOOUUUUUCCCCHHH!!!
I go out and recruit the first woman member of WAFDA and the only current woman PDGA member in Western Arkansas, for completely unselfish reasons, to try and diversify our club, and this is the THANKS I get!! :(
I have worked really hard to make our club a prettier and happier place, which I know my wife is much prettier than any of the guys in our club, and her playing DG out on the course will make a lot of guys HAPPY!! ;)
SSOOOOOO.......................
I think instead of this razzing I need a Thank You!!
But, that is just my opinion!!
PS My short Arm is off set by my LONG leg! :D

Bring her to Tulsa for Chandlerstock! It's a fun event. The course is definitely women-friendly! And Furdog is the TD...does it get any better?!?!

Why would rec players want to travel 3+ hours, 185 miles to Hot Springs for a USDGC qualifier that they won't qualify for?
Or they could make the easy 1 hour 45 mniute, 118 mile trip to Tulsa for a weekend of fun and memories, with private camping for disc golfers only and a tournament presented by the infamous FURDOOGO! :D
Hmmmmmmm..........................Tulsa looks pretty good when you really do the comparison. ;)

Yeah!! Screw Hot Springs
Go to Chandlerstock :)
I wish it was that easy for me...I'm truly torn....but I feel that personally I'll go to Hot Springs to support the home state growth, but to each their own, I certainly wouldn't hold it against anyone for picking Chandlerstock.
Hot Srings is supposedly like Blackhawk with hills, I like to challenge myself ;)
Hopefully the dates don't conflict next year so that all may enjoy the best of both
I think Pitch is getting so bad that he's now Ditching the D-Board :o

It's no big deal to me other than it's my first and maybe only BIG tourney I'll ever run. Depends on how this year goes. ....I'm sure some Arkys may may it over here but I don't blame the ones that go to Hot Springs. I'll just jack up the entry for those guys next year or, maybe just BAN THEM ALL TOGETHER!!!!;)....
I think in doing my local mini's I've developed a local following of baggin Dead Heads that will more than make up for the absence of some of the Arkies that tire out after the first day anyway. :o:D
And just for the record of whom-ever your SC next year will be.
CHANDLERSTOCK IS NORMALLY ALWAYS HELD ON EARTH DAY WHICH IS THE THIRD WEEKEND IN APRIL!!!! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
In the Arkie time table that would be two weeks after the annual spring chicken harvest. ;) :D

Hot Springs is a qualifyer but it's also a new AR course holding it's real 1st tourney.
We tried to keep the 28th date but couldn't because of Jonesboro.
Ted Smethers didn't want to hold an event on the same day as his buddy Uncle Bob.I can respect that.
The course should be sweet by then. Some last minute details should make Hot Springs a creampuff of a course. The rolling hills are too cool.
I realize the party at Chandler will be one to remember but the party at the Arlington should be pretty cool itself(Pool ,Hot Tub,Bar,yadda yadda yadda) Yeah i'm gonna miss camping on the rocks fer sure.
The Arlington isn't going to be able to sponsor this year but i'm hoping with the attendance they will realize next year will be a must to do so.That place is too cool anyway to miss out on.
Hey Quad Putt
I'm still here.Looks like I should have sent Landon to Fayetteville to give you some pointers. It may be best you do stay in OK.The mind game seems to work better over there than it does here.I know it's not the golf game.
Aren't you gettin tired of my boys shuttin you down yet?LMAO!!!!

And yes I do realize Dan is from OK.
Good job Kelly,Keep em in his place.Kinda like HOTB all over again isn't it.He just can't seem to keep it together.

We're just jealous of you Willie, Shawna plays DG and understands the addictive fun of it, most of our women just ask what took so long and "you just played 5 days ago, do you have to play again"
It does look like Sunshine really enjoyed the kid's day, I think she really enjoyed playing with other children, she usually gets bored after a couple of holes with me but with the other kids, I had to make em' quit so we could get home
A lady with the Entertainment Fort Smith Magazine contacted me to ask if we do anything with children and disc golf, they're fixing to put a June issue out about what Kids can do in the summer to occupy their time....maybe we should think about some sort of summer league for young children? That could be some awesome advertising but they'd have to know in the next couple of weeks to get it in the June "Bored Kids" issue

I can relate. I probably would have never started playing golf if I hadn't met my fiance 2 1/2 years ago. He introduced me to the game, and now I play more than he does. People are always asking where Dave is, but he's always working. But seriously, anytime you are down this way, look me up and we'll get together and play. I'm always looking for women to play with!
COME TO CHANDLERSTOCK!!!

While I may have been shut down for the day, you need to look back at the results.
Open winner - Chris Wagel, Oklahoma
Pro Master Wiiner - Dan Bougher, Oklahoma
So where did the cash go? Back down the pike to Tulsa.
As usual. :D
I've always beleived someone should put up or shut up and I haven't seen you even put up an effort the last two times we have come to your back yard, so................................................ .................................................. .................................................. ........................

Now your startin to sound like someone else who gave me a hard time for taking care of my buisness instead of playing golf.
Now if I had shown up your 5th finish would simply become a 6th place finish. And more than likely I would have cashed.
(When Don't I Cash)
That's right,When have I not been in the money.
My advice to you would be to just keep your local hustle goin on and leave the "Professional" events to the "Professionals"
I think they may be offering amnesty again this year. You could always go back to picking up a disc now and then.
And if you like next time I will sign one for ya.

I expected better than that.
Looks like everything with you is gettin kinda weak nowadays.
Might wanna consider that AM thing I was talkin about.
The Pros' could use more of your added cash. You could at least get a wall hanger outta the deal.
I know your getting frustrated.
Can't even get your entry money back.

Hey guys, thanks for the thoughts!
It is very nice of Mr. Watson to offer up his #1 tag, seeing as he is disabled for the next few months :) And it is not that far of a drive for me from Farmington to get to pick it up,
But I would really feel bad about having such a coveted tag and not having earned it. So instead I think we should set up a meeting time, I'll tie his right hand behind his back, blindfold him and we'll play a round of speed golf! Then IF I win I would feel justified in taking the tag home with me!! :)
