Fort Gordon Pro Worlds Specific Location Points
On the Course
- Phones must be turned to vibrate or silent! No exceptions!
- Please remain silent when players are throwing and/or preparing to throw.
- If you are in a player's line of sight or even in their peripheral, hold completely still while they are throwing and/or preparing to throw.
- Players, caddies, media team members, and event staff should be given plenty of space to advance down the fairways from the tee, towards the green, etc. Please stay behind all of the aforementioned persons throughout the entire round unless otherwise directed.
- Always stay alert! Golf discs flying at high speeds will be aplenty. Similar to traditional golf, yelling “FORE!” is the common warning to announce an incoming shot.
- Please keep children away from any water’s edge at all times.
Smoking/Vaping
- Be sure to extinguish your cigarettes and matches and make sure they are completely out.
- Be mindful of your smoke; be sure that it is not a distraction to the players or you may be asked to put it out.
- Smoking is not allowed in any building at the International Disc Golf Center.
- Smoking is not permitted on the Fort Gordon disc golf course, or inside any building at Fort Gordon.
Weather Warning Policy
- PDGA and event staff members will be monitoring the weather throughout the week via lightning detectors, radar, and forecasts.
- If any potentially hazardous weather conditions arise, players and spectators will be made aware as quickly as possible through as many channels as possible.
- Suspension of play will be signaled by three quick blasts of an air horn, repeated until all have made their way to a safe shelter. If you hear this horn, seek shelter immediately.
Autograph Policy
- We aim to provide an optimum competition environment for our players. There will be a "No Autographs" policy in effect on the course at all times during competitive play and also when the players are in the practice area. Autographs may be obtained in the parking lots and common spaces as well as after the day’s play has concluded.
Photo/Videography Policy
- Cameras are allowed on the course for personal use only unless a prior agreement has been reached with Event Staff or the PDGA Media Manager. Official media partners including photographers and videographers will be given Media Pass lanyards.
- Cameras with shutters must be used with extreme discretion, as even the sound of a snapping shutter can be a distraction to the players mid-throw or mid-putt.
- Images and videos of the 2017 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships cannot be used for broadcast, publication, or any commercial purpose without written consent from the Tournament Director and/or the PDGA Media Manager.
