Amateur World Registrants,

It is my honor to welcome you to Grand Rapids, MI and the home of the 2024 Amateur World Championships presented by Discraft. We hope you are as excited to compete in this event as we have been in preparing and planning for the event.  May your stay in Grand Rapids be nothing but extraordinary and we hope you enjoy all the food, libations and sites that the city has to offer.  We are proud to partner with the West Michigan Sports Commission to bring this event to Grand Rapids for 2024, as well as the Kent County and Plainfield Township Parks Departments for their hard work and efforts in preparing and updating the local disc golf courses for the event.

We have Michigan’s best Tournament Directors prepared and ready to provide you with an amazing experience on the course and we are here to make sure your time in Grand Rapids is memorable. Without the help of our local volunteers, none of this would have been possible.  Countless hours of work and preparation have been invested in our local courses and we hope you enjoy your time on the course.  We are so grateful to this year’s event biggest sponsors, including Discraft, Innova Discs, Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, Westside Discs, Disc Baron, Axiom, MVP & Steamline Discs, Zanfel, Meijer, Stoppa Signs & Engraving and NapTags. We hope you can show them some love and support as a small thank you for their contributions to the event.

We know everyone is here to compete for a World Championship, but we have organized and planned several side events and other evening activities to help keep you entertained while you are in town.  We have outlined below just a few of the main events happening during the World’s week:

• Monday, August 5th the Player’s Meeting and Opening Ceremonies will be at hosted at Frederick Meijer Gardens. After the meeting, stick around for Eagles Wings Chapel Service and to enjoy the beauty of Frederick Meijer Gardens.
• Tuesday, August 6th will include the Family Fun Night at Craigs Cruisers Family Fun Park.  Enjoy 3 attractions, $10 in arcade play and buffet for only $20.
• Wednesday, August 7th check out Disc Golf Night at LMCU Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps. A ticket and food voucher are provided.  6:35 First Pitch
• Thursday, August 8th is your free night to explore and check out all that Grand Rapids has to offer.
• Friday, August 9th will feature the Flymart with Live Music, Games and Disc Golf Dyeing Tutorial by Mike Kemp (@qotsarock86) at Cannonsburg Ski Area.
