PDGA Diversity and Outreach Committee Seeks New Members

Monday, April 14, 2025 - 10:48

The D&O Committee is composed of volunteers that are current PDGA members. The D&O Committee meets monthly, discusses projects, and makes recommendations to the PDGA for viable grants to be funded. The D&O Committee meets the third Monday of every month for an hour, currently at 6:00pm EST.

The PDGA’s Diversity and Outreach committee’s goals align with the PDGA’s mission of promoting disc golf as a global sport and recreational activity.

D&O Committee Goals:

  • Advocate for growth in PDGA membership in underserved communities.
  • Increase and support the active participation of underserved communities in the sport of disc golf via PDGA  D&O grants. (These D&O grants are meant as “seed” grants geared to making a “wave” and not a one time “splash”).
  • Advocate for measurable, sustainable, and positive change in the status of demographics within PDGA.
  • Liaise with other PDGA committees to ensure that the tournament rules support the growth of underserved divisions in competition.
  • Liaise with other organizations and groups to collaborate to increase the participation of underserved players in the sport and within the PDGA.

Interested candidates should complete the application for consideration.
