Background
The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) is a 501(c4) nonprofit membership organization and the international governing body for the sport of disc golf. With over 40,000 active members in 50 countries, the PDGA is the largest organization for disc golf in the world.
Description
The PDGA sends a beginner friendly disc and mini-marker as part of the new PDGA membership package to U.S. and Canada members; new members outside of the U.S. and Canada or renewing PDGA members have the option to purchase a PDGA member disc and mini. Also, the PDGA supports many endeavors across the world to grow the sport of disc golf. To get competitive pricing and provide an equal opportunity for all vendors in the flying disc industry to introduce their product to PDGA members and disc golfers, the PDGA is seeking bids for the provision of up to 20,000 discs and minis.
Requirements
The member discs shall be a high-quality PDGA approved golf disc. While it is preferred the disc and mini match in appearance, the artwork must at least include the three color PDGA logo on the top of the flight plate. Unique full-color artwork for the member disc and mini are encouraged. The manufacturer’s logo may also appear on the top flight plate of the disc. The disc must be beginner-friendly; high speed or big rim drivers will not be accepted. The disc diameter must be closer to the allowed minimum of 21cm and have a flat top for shipping purposes. The deadline for the discs and minis to arrive at the PDGA Fulfillment Office is October 1, 2018.
Bid Deadline and Process
This is a closed bid process. Bids should be submitted in electronic form to [email protected]. The bid should include the type and specifications of the disc, the cost per disc and/or mini, the total price to order 20,000 discs and/or minis, and estimated shipping costs to a commercial freight address in Sugar Hill, GA 30518. An Artwork sample is required.
The deadline for the submission of bids is by EOD July 31, 2018.
In addition to supporting the PDGA and its mission of promoting the sustainable growth of disc golf, the PDGA hopes that you will recognize the co-marketing and promotional value of having a disc made by your company to continue to grow the sport of disc golf and that you will quote the cost accordingly.
