2024 WFDF World Team Championships kick off in Australia

Disc golfers representing 23 countries are on the ground in Mundaring, Australia for the 2024 World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) World Team Disc Golf Championship.

Beginning Wednesday, teams will compete in four days of competition in a match play format at two 18-hole courses at the Mundaring Sporting Club Disc Golf courses, home of the Aussie Open. The competition will include pool play, round robins, knockout rounds, and placement matches, all culminating in medal matches on November 9.

Not only will teams compete for a World Championship, the 2024 WTDGC is the final points-awarding qualifying event for the International World Games Association (IWGA) World Games, which will be held in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China in August 2025. Disc golf returns to the World Games for the first time in 24 years with mixed gender teams of two players representing the top 15 world ranked countries that qualify to join hosts China in Chengdu.
