EMPORIA, Kansas -- And just like that, Eagle McMahon's three-stroke Glass Blown Open lead has become a three-shot deficit.

The 20-year-old Colorado pro suffered from a mix of self-inflicted wounds and course-inflicted misfortune, as he slumped to a 1011-rated even-par showing Friday at the Emporia Country Club. That left the door open for two-time GBO champ Paul McBeth to make his move for a third title, and he jumped right through it: McBeth logged a 6-under par 59 to create a six-shot swing and climb into first place before this PDGA National Tour's final. He sits with an 18-under par 115 through 54 holes in Kansas.

"I didn't feel like I shot a great round," McBeth said. "I feel like he made a lot of mistakes and gave me a few strokes in there, but I feel like I gave a few back, too.

"Six-stroke swing today?" McBeth continued. "It would be nicer if it were tomorrow."

James Conrad and Ricky Wysocki remain on the lead card at 14-under and 13-down, respectively, while Las Vegas Challenge Champion Calvin Heimburg put himself into position with a 9-under par hot round. The Florida pro's 1068-rated performance moved him up six slots on the leaderboard and into a tie for fifth place alongside Chris Dickerson.
