The team event, the only one of its kind in professional disc golf, features some of the best players in the world squaring off against one another before the annual PDGA Major kicks off. The combination of stroke and make play serves a tuneup for the EO, which kicks off on Thursday.

It's been all Team USA since its inception, and it was all Team USA from the start on Wednesday.

Highlighted by an 8-under effort through nine holes from Paul McBeth, Team USA jumped to a commanding lead after the stroke play round, 34.5 to 17.5. Eagle McMahon and Albert Tamm tied for the lead in their group, as did Gannon Buhr and Mauri Villmann. Kristin Tattar took the outright win in her group. Players are awarded points for first, second and third-place finishes within their group.

In the second round, where the match play is determined by seeding, Team USA won six of the eight matches, highlighted by a win from Ella Hansen over Tattar. Eveliina Salonen won by four over Missy Gannon and Mauri Villmann by four over Calvin Heimburg.
