More than 450 players hit the courses throughout the Tulsa area on Tuesday to kick off the week and, if the opening round was any indication, buckle up.

Here's a quick look at what went down on Monday:

  • Patrick Yu's Worlds got started quickly with a 4-under score through the first three holes, highlighted by an eagle on the Par 4, 450-foot third at Post Oak. Yu went on to an clean 11-under, 1031-rated opening round in MJ18. But his lead is just one over Keegan Haupt, who had 13 birdies in his opening round. Loren Buterbaugh and Luca Nieminen round out Wednesday's lead card two strokes back.
  • Only three strokes separate the top six players in FJ18, led by five-time Junior World champion Virginia Polkinghorne, who was the only player in the field to birdie 15-16-17 at Twin Bridges. Trinity Bryant and Rebecca Don are tied for second, just one stroke back at 3-under.

  • Arkansas' Thomas Rouse had the second-highest rated round of his career (1013) to open up a two-stroke lead in MJ15. Rouse went bogey-free at Haikey Creek with a 6-under through 5-hole stretch. Landen Sides is in solo second at 9-under and 12 players are within three strokes of second place.
  • Oklahoma native Eva Ramey added two birdies on 15 and 16 to open with a one-stroke lead in FJ15. Shelby Cowen matched Ramey's clean scorecard on the back nine at Twin Bridges and is one stroke back in the super competitive division.
  • Estonia's Taaniel Mehine was the only player with a clean scorecard in MJ12 and he has a two-stroke lead over Luke Ferro.
  • In MJ10, the battle is one with a three-way tie at the top between Canada's Nikko Forbes, Massachusetts' Tanner Grayum, and California's Everett Rawlins. The trio went 5-under at Chandler Park. Henry Tabor rounds out the lead card at 3-under, two strokes back.
