FA1 Comes Down to the Wire
Sports are always at their most riveting when something big is on the line.
And we’re not just talking about titles here, because, of course, whenever you are playing for a title like a world championship, something big is on the line.
Rather, it's about individual moments – what’s on the line with THIS shot, or with THIS putt?
Sometimes, it seems, those key moments stretch on – for a few holes, for a playoff, for a final round.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
So says the old expression. And, with 90 holes to be played at the 2022 PDGA Amateur World Championships, the expression holds true in southern Indiana.
But, that doesn’t mean the start is not an important component in a run for a championship.
On Tuesday, a field of the best amateur disc golfers in the world faced the first round of a five round PDGA Major, taking place on multiple courses in the Evansville, Indiana area, in the steaming June, midwestern heat.
This year marks the first time that the top amateur fields will be split into their own event. All Masters and Juniors divisions will compete for their chance at a world title in July.

We are honored to officially welcome you to the Hoosier State for the 2022 PDGA Amateur World Championships presented by Toyota. All events must be COMPLETED by 4:00 p.m. Last call to begin the Mini Golf and EDGE competitions will be 3:00 p.m. Last call to begin the Putting competition will be 3:30 p.m.
The PDGA Worlds Doubles format is designed to ensure that the results accurately reflect a team performance by using both partner’s skills and abilities to contribute to the team’s score.
