“We thought we were pretty good players, we had been playing for two years, and we just got blown away,” Zink told Bryan Frees on Thursday in Johnson City, Tennessee. “There were people from all over the country for this overall event.

We had a situation that you may be aware on hole 13 at Sugar Hollow today. Due to circumstances beyond our control, there was a water pipe that burst, and the parks department had to do an emergency fix. This resulted in a work crew with a tractor and chainsaw very close to the green.

Unfortunately, this affected the last 4-5 groups to play that hole. In the best interest of fairness to those groups we are removing hole 13 from scores for MP50's Tuesday round.

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Momentum is a nice thing to have on your side after the first day of a week-long world championship.

Plenty of players grabbed it early as strong starts highlighted the leaders after the opening round of the 2021 PDGA Pro Masters Disc Golf World Championships on Tuesday in Tennessee.

“That built a lot of momentum for me with three birdies to start,” said Ohn Scoggins. “My confidence was very high and that helped me with my putting.”

Tournament Director Tim Barr took a moment during his speech during the player’s meeting at the 2021 PDGA Pro Masters Disc Golf World Championships to thank those in attendance.

It wasn’t just an appreciation of them for making the trek to Johnson City, Tennessee to compete for a world title, but for their contributions as some of the trailblazers of the sport.

Brathwaite and Feldberg teamed up on Saturday at Harmon Hills Disc Golf Course to kick off the action at the 2021 PDGA Pro Masters Disc Golf World Championship with a win the Divisional Doubles MP40 division.
