With a stellar field and a $50,000 payout, this year's Vibram Open promises some serious fireworks. On the women's side, reigning Vibram Champion and Worlds Champion Sarah Stanhope has to be the favorite, but it is tough to bet against 2008 Vibram and 3x Worlds Champion Valarie Jenkins. Des Reading has been playing well coming into the Vibram, earning a 2nd at Worlds two weeks ago and pushing Sarah all the way to the final nine. She's also got four MSDGC Championships on the Maple Hill course under her belt. Elaine King, Liz Lopez, Liz Carr, Carrie Berlogar and Paige Pierce could also be ready to put their stamp on Vibram Open lore. The ladies side just may provide the most exciting blow by blow action this year.

On the men's side, returning Champion Barry Schultz will be looking to defend his title from 2008 Champion Avery Jenkins. Dave Feldberg, Nikko Locastro, Nate Doss and current World Champion Eric McCabe should be watched to make some serious noise. One thing to remember at the Vibram though, there always seems to be a newcomer looking to make a name for themselves on the tour, and they tend to have success on the Maple Hill course. Buckle up and tune in.
