This is my home course that I've been playing for almost 20 years. It has a nice variety of woods and open grass. None of the holes are particularly long. It does have advanced tees, but I almost never see anyone playing them. There are a few uphill shots which are a bit more challenging. It can get busy if you go on a weekend or a day with nice weather. If you go any other time it can be totally empty which is nice if you're trying to play a quick solo round. There are two or three holes that are right next to the lake trail; I've had people pick up my discs and throw them back to me, thinking they're being helpful. The park almost never charges to get in, but even when they do, you won't have to pay if you're from the county. They really only check on peak weekends. Overall it's a clean, well-marked course. I think most people would consider it a "beginners" course, but I find it challenging enough to keep things interesting.

This is a novice course. Most amateurs / pro's will play putters and mid rangers the whole round.

The real value of this course is that it is part of a private recreation park ($10 entry) with ball golf driving range, put-put. I'm really glad this park decided to put a disc golf course in as I think it exposes non-players to the game and could get them interested in it.

Don't expect any exceptional thrilling round here. the rough isn't rough. I threw my putter most of the way through the first 5, used a fairway driver on 8 tees, and never pulled my distance drivers out.

The course has a logical flow and very easy to navigate. Fairways, tees, baskets, and signs are well kept.

For what the course is, I'm glad it's here. If you want a challenging round of disc golf, head down the street to Giles Run.

I enjoy this course very much as it has quite a few of the variations that you look for in the game... from rolling hills with easy changes to some long shots with decent drops and rises in elevations, short game shots with special hook spots where you take a penelty stroke if you miss the hook around the tree, plenty of nice wooded challenging shots (that can take a nice bite out of your disc if your throwing too hard at a tree) and a few open long drive fairways on grass that are great for the strong arm.
I would advise about the wild (and possibly poisonous) musrooms in the area... (NOT the good ones) as your discs will be hitting them quite often and uprooting many of em... Don't put your fingers in your eyes or mouth... unless you wanna get nasty sick... I've seen it.
They've recently moved a few of the baskets around at this course, and set down some large trees for obsticles which makes the game even more interesting, I think even more enjoyable. Now that school is back in, this park has calmed down so much to the point of almost turning into a ghost town, even on weekends, compared to the summertime. Being a resident of the area, I enjoy this course on a weekly basis, and hopefully more time permitted... Hopefully see you out there!
Do caution though for the random mommies and daddies walking their strollers in the weirdest of spots... I caught a few of them right in the middle of the fairway on hole 2 which was SUPER weird, since the landscape on that hole is natural quartz shooting up from the ground! Not sure what they were trying to do but, they did almost get wacked a few times by other players...
All and all, and extreemly friendly course and clean, well ploted, and they sell discs at the snack bar so if you bring a newbie, or you manage to loose one, which you most likely wont at this park, you can replace it easily.

Just like Pohick Bay except much more crowded. Everyone and their mother goes to this course. Plus your mother is probably running around the nature trails with her kids walking straight across your fairway while you try and tee off.
