about half woods, half open. rock fairways in the woods, cut grass fairways in open. no water to lose discs in, but you have to keep a close eye on discs that go into the tall grass (4') rough. get some anti-tick spray, there are a lot of ticks. but, this is still my favorite course in the area, the short tees are mostly 190'-250', so it's not difficult.

The folks at Glacier Ridge Metro Park need to consider whether they are maintaining a "park", in which people attempt to play and relax and have a good time, or if they are maintaining a "nature preserve", in which flora and fauna are encouraged to propagate and proliferate, and humans are permitted only for the purpose of viewing the great outdoors.

If it's really a park, and one with a disc golf course, then the fairways ought not to be anorexic, and the "rough" should have a "first cut" height of perhaps 12" for a reasonable width along the fairway, roughly equivalent to the anticipatable flight of an errant shot. We spent 20 minutes searching for one disc, mostly within a 15' square, where it was ultimately found. That's ridiculous...even for novices like us.

Other than that, the course was enjoyable, and challenging. It would be nice, also, if the park would put a water spigot or two along the course.

Nice course but nothing special. A good mix of shots available and open to all throwing styles but the park draws a good number of walkers and the trails and course are close together in several places. The big wide open holes means not much shade and the height of summer may not be the best time to play. Overall, this is a course that I will play once a year, but not much more.

It's a nice metro park style course with some interesting distance and placement challenges(some are both on the same hole),good use of trees as pin guardians and as mentioned above it does get wet after it rains but if you keep it in the fairway mud is not really an issue,standing water yes mud no.Nice tees,bridges over some of the worst flood spots are a plus. Overall a good play for all skill levels no matter you're style you'll find something there you like,for me the signature would be hole 16 where you play a long hole up and over a huge hill blind pin from the tee but very nice setting.

This was a fun course. Holes 1-3 and 16-18 are in the woods. Gravel path along the way (does chew up disc a bit). The other holes are out in a meadow. Fairways are cut and sort of narrow - many of my tee shots were not in the fairway, but the 'rough' was knee high grass and easy to find your disc. In the wet season, there could be a couple of 'swampy' areas to deal with. Even though these holes are out in the open, the wind and the few trees do come into play.

There are 2 entrances to Glacier Ridge park, the course is at the northern entrance, park near the back for hole 1.

A solid course. About 1/2 the holes are in the woods with very narrow "fairways". The other half are in a wide-open field of tall grass; Fairways here are also narrow, but mowed. Holes here are very long, several 400'+. Plan on spending some time hunting for your discs!!

Would recommend avoiding this course if it rained in the last few days as some of the grass field gets pretty swampy.

Not a beginner's course, best if you can control your drives. Most putt/approach isn't very technical.

5 out of 6 wood holes have limestone gravel around the pin @10ft diameter. Sharp edges of gravel puts nicks in all disk material. This gravel ruined a full 18 hole pitch & putt course IMO.
I'll stop with my complaining, it could get nasty.
