Course Reviews
First of all let me say I do NOT appreciate the moderators CHANGING my course description w/out my knowledge or permission. I do not consider this course to be "fairly short" at all, but on with my review:
This is a great albeit heavily neglected course. 18 hole course with dirt tee's and wooden poles. Any attempts at putting up metal baskets has met with severe vandalism. The park keepers rarely mow this course and when they do they usually only mow the fairways so if you throw off your wading through very tall grass. It's a shame because this course is actually very good! The course is very interesting with great elevation changes and good technical difficulty for experienced players. This is a great course to play in the spring before the grass gets too long and the bugs come out and is a good alternate course if riverside park is marshy. This course doesn't pool water even after a heavy rain. Later in the season it's usually best to play elsewhere as the grass gets very tall and the bugs begin to swarm! This is a good course that could have been a great course if it was better maintained and insensitive people didn't vandalize it. Even with the down-sides though this course is worth playing. It's also an easy course to bring some cold ones and drink them on the course as there are never any park officials on it being that it's separated from the actual park. Be careful and drive the speed limit down Butterworth as that road is usually heavily camped by officers.

This course definately has potential. It's sort of confusing first time through since even some of the wooden posts you throw at have either been stolen or swapped with other ones to make you think you've skipped holes somehow. This course would be absolutely excellent if it had baskets, people didn't mess with it, and there was some sort of map to show you where to go. Half the time i was throwing blind hoping there was a wooden post just over yonder hill while the other half i couldn't find the teebox for the next hole. All in all, it's supposed to be an 18 hole course, but because of confusion and theft you really only get to play about 10 holes.
