Course Reviews
A great course , I come here at least twice a year, and I'm still chasing a par round,
The locals are a real nice bunch too. Always up for a game, and really friendly
The only basketed course in Greater London, Lloyd park is a consistent challenge to all golfers.
A beautiful mix of Park and woodland holes and a good balance of par 3's and 4's the course starts relatively easily but will punish you the second you let your concentration waiver!
Tees are wel marked and the course should be fairly easy to navigate around by yourself, however it is always much easier with a local so its best to contact a local via the website first and they will always be keen to show you around.
Access is easy with a tram stop right on the course and toilet facilities available. A new manned club house will be opening soon.
Pros - Good Location just outside of London with great transport links
- well thought out course with a good mix of pars.
- Good facilities available on site.
Cons - well used park by dog walkers and joggers most of whom don't look out for discs! Best to always play with a partner as some holes are blind.
- Grass can get very long on the fairways in summer
- Some baskets have been damaged by vandals.

Before visiting from the States on a tour of gardens in 2014, I contacted the listed contact person and got some good feedback on the course and how to get there. He could not commit to having anyone play the course with me as we were visiting on your Father's Day or some equivalent. My wife and I made the mistake of trying to play the course in the rain when we did visit - big mistake! Its hard to throw decently with a poncho on and worse yet, the course was all 18-24" grass. That is considered the rough back home. I went to help my wife find her disc on the third hole and lost track of mine - lost it. Since I brought one disc for the trip, I was done. The story ends well however. I have my name, town and phone number on my discs and it actually arrived back on my doorstep in about 12 weeks. A fellow English DG'r found the disc, looked up the last name on the web, found my daughter who arranged to have it sent back to my place. Boy was I surprised!! So I do have very fond memories of the course even though I never finished it. Because of that I cannot rate it on my rating scale. I just wish the grass had been cut!
