Course Reviews
Nice course with a good mix of shots. Some issues with pedestrians in the way, but it is not a big problem. I dislike paying for parking, but the price is not too bad. The tees are a little short but are all concrete so that is a plus. With the lighting this course can be played much later than most and it makes a great after work round. Overall I would say it is a good, but not great course well worth a play.
well groomed very urban feel for a disc golf course a couple of longer holes but plays short overall, nice signage the long walk between holes 7&8 is a little daunting and if you don't stay on the fairways the out of bounds and thickets can wreak havoc on your score. Also there are many sidewalks that cut through the course so you must always watch out for non-golfers.Can be a harsh mistress but if you want to work on your technical skills it's the course for you.
Short and open, but good tees (other than funky tee sign placement).
The course gets a '5' for markings, signage, tee-boxes, scorecards, map at each hole. Best tee pads I have seen, with grooves for traction. Colored, permanent pictures of each hole (distances marked in yards).
The course itself I give a 3. All holes are pretty easy, straight forward, and somewhat short, with either trees to contend with, some bushes, or the wind.
Original description says it is on parking lot islands. Not so. Some of the holes are near a parking lot, but that is it.
Parking is easy to deal with at the 'pay machine', or play quickly and hope you don't get a ticket.
cool course. drives are a little shorter than i'm used to on most, but still fun. nice layout. careful parking though, columbus loves towing cars.
Most are long but not unreachable, one full drive to the basket. Birdies are feasible on all, aces quite possible on 5 or 6. The course favors the left turning disc on the majority, and 10-13 are fairly repetitive, but otherwise has a variety of distances and obstacles. Wind is a factor often. The middle holes are somewhat scenic with a view to the east over campus. While mostly open, several holes punish for errant shots as pavement OB or dense woods beside the hole are frequently in play. Well marked and very nice pads.
Parking is OK anywhere in the lot next to the Jesse Owens Tennis Center (the arched building) where the first tee is, but you must pay for a pass ($1.00/hr) from the kiosk at the NE corner.
