Great course except the walk up 17 to walk back downtown to tee off up to 18 again. The beard was one of several people who helped design this course not exclusively him. He gets credited good and bad for things he did or didn't do.
For those in the know in Ohio this 1 was designed by "The Beard" and it shows great layout, good enough signage, excellent mix of up hill, down hill , wooded, open, long and short this course has it all. Not much shade so can be a bit of a butt kicker on those hot summer days but even then so fun it;s totally worth it. Plays well wet and even snowy,if you want to improve you're game play this 1, you will use your full arsenal in a round here but watch out for the disc eating field on hole 6(lost 1 right out in the open grass!). The downhill drive on hole 10 is a great picture and a good shot placement hole many would call it a signature feature but for my money the most fun shot there is the elevated pro tee on hole 17 it just has that different feel to it even if you're not playing pro tees throw 1 that doesn't count off there you'll probably giggle like I did.(for those who know me that doesn't happen often). The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 is it isn't closer to my house :-)
Great course with a mix of big arm shots and skilled lay ups. Good use of elevation and woods. There are a couple of confusing parts of the back 9, but overall very easy to follow. On the plus side it does have a vending machine in the parking lot so you can get something cold to drink after the round. Bring your walking shoes as it is a big course, but very fun.
Fun course with a lot of variety. Needed a second person to spot the basket on a few holes. Good mix of woods, rough, and fairway to play from with shot options on most holes. Loved the use of elevation changes in a mostly flat environment.
Played from the short tees my first time there today and enjoyed myself. The tee pads are elevated on a couple of holes which was unique. Worth the drive from Cincinnati and I will go back.
Played the course for the first time today. The course is laid out well.(played the long tees) one or two walks from the previous hole were longer than normal. The mix of one to wooded hole was nice as well as the mix of shorter around 300ft to the longer. Being that the course is new it is nice to have the concrete tees. Overall it is worth the drive. However, I would suggest at least a 2 some because of the bind holes were spotting for each other will be nice. Once the rough has been cleaned up some more which will happen as more people play it. I think this could be an great course to hold tournaments at.
Only negative for me is that the numbers on top of the baskets many times are not facing the tees at all. Easy fix in my mind and just puts the finishing touch on an already good course.

This is a well-maintained course with a ball golf design in mind. The challenge of the course Is not the length but finding and hitting a specific line to reach any basket...there is plenty of risk reward and many skill levels will enjoy the challenge as well as the scenery. Perfect for my outing or tournament
