most challenging in dayton to date. i here there's going to be a new course in fairborn comperable to the difficulty of this one. if you are looking to become a better disc golfer. play here and play here often. it will take a few games here to learn the course properly.
Toughest wood holes I've played.. Some are just rediculous and left to luck but also has 1 or 2 of my favorite holes in SW ohio like the blind wood birdie throw on #4? and creative blind aproach on #7? Good mix of open and woods like most
this course makes no sense to me. it is too challenging for me, and it makes playing here no fun. if you enjoy searching through the trees for your disc, then this is the course for you.
In a nutshell: difficult, perhaps extreme, but fun and with scores still tied to the skill of the players.
I don't view favorably courses that are made "tough" by simply putting baskets in pinball-thicket. If good players on a good day familiar with the course still need plenty of luck to make a shot, it no longer tests skill. This course only in a few select places resorts to such nonsense. Instead, difficulty is achieved with multidimensional holes, each compounding several challenges, and by including in the course an incredible variety of holes - 18 distinct personalities. There are a surprising number that have elements of both short technical holes and long field holes. Challenges found include: baskets perched at the edge of gullies, honeysuckle tunnel shots, technical woods, open rolling hills, water, tough tee shots, tough finishes, rights, lefts, S's, uphill, downhill, and up or across 45degree slope. The long open holes, while a minority, are plenty long, and always have an added challenge: a cage of trees around the basket, terrain interest, or a gap in a thick treeline that must be negotiated halfway.
Creative and ambitious, the course tests every aspect of your game and returns par to the hands of the experts. Most people unfazed by frequent birdies on the average course will have to be content playing bogey-golf here, but it's clear that was the point. A working knowledge of the course will deduct several strokes from your card.

This is now one of the best courses in the Dayton area, thanks to a lot of hard work by a bunch of great disc golfers.
