New cement tee pads, 7 ft wide at back and 5 ft wide at rounded front and 13 ft long. Hole 2 tee pad covered with football turf. And hole 7 circle tee pad you must see. New tee pads compliment a well designed course with 2 signature holes. (Hole 9 throw off levee and Hole 12 - the hanging basket hole.

Looking for a course where it wasn't raining, we decided to head west toward Omaha (from DSM area). With the 5 star rating, this looked like the course to try. Honestly, it's a very nice campus, and from the road, the course looks like it has potential. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed.

On #1, there is a relatively easy hole, but a gazebo at the bottom leads concern if others were using the area as it protects the hole. On #2, again it looks great shooting over a winding creak with vegetation on the hills. These plants make stinging nettles look like baby food! They burn the instant you touch them, and unless you end up in the creek, you will be in them. To be fair, the area is under some construction, and like a lot of the midwest, they have had buckets of rain that made for a mud bog through some of the more intersting holes. It took all of the enjoyment out of it. We counted about 4-5 holes where the fairway was a good lawn as described.

They had great use of the terrain to make the pin placements difficult, and for rubber tee pads, they were very well done with firm rock bedding below them. The mud and washed away ground on some holes, and construction (#5) were detractions. Also didn't like to walk back up a fairway to the next tee. If busy, it won't work.

Overall, our group thought the course had a lot of character and lots of potential, but it didn't come through to us as a 5 link course. Someone put a lot of time and thought into developing the course, and it could be a 4 link course in better conditions, but will have to kill the acid dripping vegetation to get there.

Unfortunately, the highlight of our trip was the Farmer's Kitchen in downtown Atlantic on the way home. Great food and Highly recommended!

Course is very nice and well maintained. As a student at Iowa Western I was happy to see that there would be a course to play. Also there are 3 levels of tee boxes for everybody. The course is moderately challenging so make sure you bring your A-Game. This course is very nice and in a great location. Some of the wholes go right through the forest and is very cool to play.

This is a great course. Very good variety of holes that challenge you to be good at many different types of throws. I like the new design with holes going into more wooded areas. Course is very well maintained and mowed often. I would definitely rank this course as #1 in the Council Bluffs/Omaha Metro Area

Multiple tees, good course flow, variety of shots, all on a well kept course. Give the Treasure Cove a try!
