Do NOT play here on the weekends. It is a very crowded park. I played on a Saturday afternoon, and had to skip a couple of the holes due to a horse show.

Had to stop a few times due to joggers, walkers, little league kids, strollers, going by either on the walking trail or even across the fairways to get to their cars or baseball fields.

Had to throw short on another hole because the green area is too close to a kids playground.

Once you get to the woods you don't deal with the crowds, except for the hole that people throw over another hole's green to hyzer around all the woods, because the hole doesn't have a natural throwing lane since it is all woods in front of the tee pad. There were 2 holes that didn't have a throwing lane, you just throw and hope you hit one of the later trees.

Overall, there are a lot better parks around the area to go back to this park. I honestly can't understand the 4 and 5 star ratings some people gave this park. It's worth driving 30-40 minutes in any other direction to play at a nicer park.

My suggestion, change this from 18 holes to 9 holes, to eliminate dealing with the crowds. I couldn't bring any newbies to this park, afraid an errand shot may hit a bystander.

Played this course one time. I played on a Friday lunch, and it was busy, but not too bad. From what I hear, it gets very crowded during the weekends. Try to play during the week if possible. Also wear shoes you don't mind getting wet or muddy, in case you end up in the creek.

The course itself is pretty short, with almost all par 3 holes. There are creeks that come into play on several holes, so watch out!

Positive: This course is technically challenging and fun. Its not long, and I prefer to be able to throw farther, but the challenge of guiding your disc through the trees makes it interesting. Some holes are pretty straight forward, and a well placed drive should lead to an easy birdie. Others will be a challenge, but birdies are out there for well placed drives. Most of the course is wooded, so it's shady, which is great on a hot day. They have benches at many holes to rest or wait. Tee boxes are in good shape and good size. Signs are well done.

Negatives: Crowds. Just a lot of people. On the other hand, it is easy to pick up and play with some strangers if you want. I met a really nice guy who joined my brother and I as we played. But, again, be ready for a lot of people. Leave your drivers in the bag. This course is pretty short, and I wish it had some longer holes. If it's your first time playing, try to play wit someone who knows the course. It can be difficult to navigate, even with the tee signs.

Overall: This course is fun. It's a different challenge than any other course I've played. It's hard enough to frustrate you at times, yet the challenge makes a birdie all the more enjoyable. If you don't mind playing with someone you meet on the course, it can be a great experience.

Great quiet course. redesigned in 2010 with concrete tee's, avoids crossing walking paths. The map on the Alpharetta website is the old course, 1st hole is located next to the tennis courts now and has two tees (2nd is right of main tee back in woods). Tee 17 is easy to find its right accross the creek from hole 2. Be sure to bring a towel because all but 1,5,6,10,15,16 run along a creek. Only negative is when people ride their horses around the Equestrian Center they dont clean up the poop on or near holes 5 and 6. One more thing, along holes 5 and 6 there are covered power outlets for campers, DO NOT OPEN THEM, you will get stung by some pissed off wasps!

Course has been redesigned in the Fall of 2010 to eliminate interference from walking trails and other park activities which have encroached on the course over the last 21 years. 18 NEW Discatchers and a new practice basket, along with 19 new Concrete Tee Pads make the course much improved. 4 new holes in the woods brings one of the creeks that flows through the park into play. With distancing the baskets further away from the creeks along the entire course and creating bridges and walkways across the creeks, the erosion issues have been mitigated.

Used to be a great course, but the park has put disc golf on the back burner. I'm a little surprised it's still there. There were rumors of it being moved to a less-trafficked part of the park, but haven't heard anything in a few years. The holes are nicely designed aside from the couple of redesigns forced by other park amenities being added.

Although this course is short and sometimes crowded with players and park-goers, it is a fun course. It has the old course flavor because it is old. There are mostly technical and touch shots here. You get to open up on 7 or 8 holes, other then that, you are in the woods. I like it, I don't play it much due to CP being around the corner, but I like it. It's a good place to work on all levels of your game in my opinion and in a good area.

Poorly planned course in my opinion, there are better courses in the area to play. There's always people in the way- it's close to the walking trails, playground, baseball fields, picnic areas and people just parking it on the course. I refuse to play this course if possible.
