2025 Presidents Cup contested at Champions Cup, will rotate

Pride and prestige were the driving forces for Jussi Meresmaa behind the formation of the Presidents Cup in 2006.
Meresmaa, the long-time event director behind the European Open and leading force behind Europe’s first PDGA Professional World Championships coming later in 2025, created the event to pit Europe’s best against elite players from the United States.
That pride and prestige has been felt since 2006 and in 2025 and beyond, there will be a “home turf” aspect to the annual event, which is now a PDGA-owned property.

For 2025, the Presidents Cup will move to the 2025 PDGA Champions Cup by OTB and MVP Disc Sports. The Presidents Cup will kick off the action on Wednesday, April 30 at Swenson Park in Stockton, California ahead of the first professional PDGA Major of the year.
Moving forward, the Presidents Cup will alternate years between the U.S. and Europe, with the U.S. hosting in odd years and Europe hosting in even years.
Meresmaa has been heavily involved in the planning process and will be on hand for the second Presidents Cup ever held on U.S. soil in April.
