Nesse's hot round of 3-under, which included escaping the hardest hole of the day at Hunter Park, lifted her five spots into T1 with Florida's Trinity Bryant. It was one of four lead changes throughout the 10 divisions in Tulsa and FJ18 is one of seven divisions separated by fewer than four strokes.
They'll enter Round 2 with a two-stroke lead over Virginia Polkinghorne and three-stroke lead over Kayla Hess as action shifts back to Twin Bridges.
