  1. Definitions.
    1. Gross entry is the entry fee paid by the player, not including transaction fees or add-ons such as disc purchases or sponsorships.
    2. Net entry is gross entry minus pass-through fees.
    3. Pass-through fees must be published in pre-registration materials (types and amounts) and are limited to:
      1. PDGA per-player fees according to the Tier;
      2. Greens fees, meaning the fees required to secure the course(s) and permit play;
      3. Series fees, meaning a fee paid by an event that is part of a points series under Competition Manual 2.02.B and that is used for series-end prizes or payouts;
      4. Bathroom fees, meaning the prorated per-player cost of toilet rental; and
      5. TD fees, meaning a per-player amount not to exceed the PDGA per-player fee for that Tier.
    4. Added cash refers only to the cash added to the Pro purse above the regular required percentage of net entry fees.
      1. The Required Minimum Added Cash to the Pro Purse must be spread across all Pro divisions based on the percentage of entry fees brought into the event by each division as per the Tournament Manager payout screens.
      2. The Pro Added Cash distribution is automatically calculated by the Tournament Manager application once Tournament Directors input the Added Cash for their event into the Finance section.
    5. Added merch refers only to the additional prize value added to the Am payouts above the regular required percentage of net entry fees.
  2. Depth of payouts in North America.
    1. In each professional division, at least 40% of competitors must be paid out (subject to Competition Manual 1.10.A and E).
    2. Unless the event is a True Amateur Event (see Competition Manual 2.05), in each amateur division, at least 45% of competitors must be paid out (subject to Competition Manual 1.10.A and E).
    3. Tournament Directors should use the payout calculation function in Tournament Manager to ensure they meet or exceed these requirements.
  3. Player packs and True Amateur Events.
    1. The cost of player pack items is not deducted from gross entry.
    2. The retail value of player pack items counts as prize value for the purpose of calculating prize payout for Amateur divisions.
    3. If Professional divisions receive a player pack, it is considered added value but does not count toward added cash or payout.
    4. Refer to the PDGA Allowable Items Toward Player Pack Value document to ensure that your items are valid player pack inclusions.
