After Round 1 of the Portland Open presented by Dynamic Discs, it would be hard to imagine anyone betting against Ricky Wysocki or Paul McBeth, who battled their way up and down Glendoveer Golf Course to take the top 2 spots.

Getting back to the roots and moving forward, that’s what this weekend’s win at the Disc Golf Pro Tour – OTB Open was all about for Paige Pierce in her return to the top of the leaderboard.
Pierce grabbed the lead early in the second round and, despite a rough finish on Saturday and a surging Catrina Allen on Sunday, held on for her second PDGA Elite Series win of 2021 with a one-stroke win.
The opening day of the OTB Open in Stockton, CA is in the books and the competitors saw nothing but conditions as beautiful as the course itself. Wind added technicality and a bit of heat relief to the already challenging Swenson Park disc golf course.
Swenson Park holds the largest course par and total footage for an Elite Series event so far this year, so it is only natural that Eagle McMahon is the leader after day one.
The key to his game was consistency and precision.
Plans to bring the Disc Golf Pro Tour overseas to Europe for the PCS Sula Open, a PDGA Euro Tour event, in 2021 have been postponed due to travel restrictions amid the unpredictable COVID-19 situation currently in Europe.
This trip out west features the debut of a brand-new event on a newly-designed course for the OTB Open, which kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday in Stockton, California.
