The 5th annual Texas Women's Championship will be held April 18 and 19 in Round Rock Texas. The event is second only to the United States Women's Disc Golf Championship (USWDGC) in attendance, averaging just over 50 ladies each year.

It is anticipated that the 2009 event will break the record for the largest ladies only disc golf event in the world.

The Texas Women's Championship has been sanctioned as a PDGA A-tier for the professional and advanced amateur divisions, while all other divisions will be held as a B-tier event. Past champions, include Des Reading, Courtney Peavy, and Mel Ring, who have all benefited over the years from the support of multiple sponsors including the Vibram Open and Revolution bags.

Each year the courses in Texas challenge the women and 2009 promises to be no different. The TD and staff of the 2009 Texas Women's Championship have over 20 years of experience that will ensure a memorable experience.
