The 2024 PDGA Women's Global Event Presented by Innova

The PDGA Women's Committee is excited to announce that the next PDGA Women's Global Event (WGE) will be May 18-19, 2024

Inaugurated in 2012, this biennial event continues to break records as the largest PDGA event for a single demographic within the sport of disc golf. The 2021 Women's Global Event had 99 registered tournaments that spanned the world, from Florida to Finland, Austin to Australia, Cincinnati to China, with a combined turnout of 3224 women competing in 23 different PDGA divisions. That number grew by over 1,000 players from 2018. We can break that record in 2024!

How It Works

Women from all around the world play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament are submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings are averaged to determine the player's "Global Score." The global results are updated throughout the day to determine our PDGA Women’s Global Event Champions, and the winner in each division will receive a memorable trophy.

In order to generate ratings, each layout in each round must be at least 13 holes and must have at least three ratings propagators playing. Propagators are players whose player ratings are shown in bold typeface on the event results page. If desired, you can recruit players to play a given layout in order to create ratings or help make the ratings more accurate. This is especially useful for juniors layouts, since most juniors will not be propagators themselves. Any players who you recruit to serve as propagators should be aware that these are real rounds that will be included in their history and count toward their player rating.

*Note: Junior divisions age 12 and under will have only one round included into the overall PDGA Women’s Global Event. If they play multiple rounds, only their first round will count to the Global leaderboard.
