If Friday's opening round of the 2024 Disc Golf Pro Tour — Trubank Des Moines Challenge Presented by DGA is any indication, it could very well come down to the final two holes.

Both leaders — Matthew Orum in MPO and Haily King in FPO — after the first of three rounds in Iowa capped off their rounds clean and lead a tightly-packed field entering the weekend.

Raven Newsom and Braeden Sides are one stroke back at 8-under and Colten Montgomery rounds out the lead card at 7-under — one of 10 players to hit that mark on Friday.

It's just as tight in FPO as King (-6) carded a birdie — one of just five in the field — on 18 for a one-stroke lead over Ohn Scoggins. Alexis Mandujano and Natalie Ryan round out Saturday's lead card at 3-under, three strokes back of King.
