EMPORIA, Kansas – Camaraderie accompanied competition during moving day at the Dynamic Discs Open.

But don’t get it twisted, there will be another battle between Hailey King and Catrina Allen on Championship Saturday.

After exchanging blows throughout the second stop of the PDGA National Tour, it was King getting the upper hand on Friday at the Emporia Country Club, erasing a three-stroke deficit to Allen with a 5-under 62 to take a one-shot lead into the finale.

EMPORIA, Kansas – Just over 10 hours after her day started, Catrina Allen had to reign it back in.

Not a problem.

Allen kept pace throughout a long day of disc golf at the Dynamic Discs Open on Thursday to take a three-stroke lead at the midway point of the second PDGA National Tour stop of the year.

EMPORIA, Kansas — Catrina Allen knew it was coming and in turn, was ready for whatever the elements or the course threw her way.

It worked out well.

Allen finished off a postponed opening round of the National Tour - Dynamic Discs Open on Thursday morning with a 5-under 65 to build a three-stroke lead heading into the second round of action, which kicks off Thursday afternoon back at the Jones Gold track.
