2025 Am Worlds

It was evident from the start of the week at the 2025 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships presented by Discraft in Columbia, Missouri that it was going to take all 90 holes to settle thing.

It took that, and more.

A thrilling, action-packed week of competition came down to a playoff in the morning for the FA1 title and just a few hours later, the MA1 crown was decided on the infamous 18th at Harmony Bends.

The scene around the green of Hole 18 at Albert Oakland Park in Columbia, Missouri at the end of Round 4 of the 2025 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championship presented by Discraft summed up the story of the week so far: Competition and camaraderie.

A large group awaited the lead card of the penultimate day of competition in Missouri and with their arrival, the final day of competition was set.

And what a battle it will be.

Things tightened up in a big way on Thursday at the 2025 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships presented by Discraft in Columbia, Missouri.

With two rounds to go, we have a three-way tie for the lead in FA1 — with two players within two strokes and two more within four — and a one-stroke lead in MA1 with five players within four strokes.

Round 2 of the 2025 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships presented by Discraft saw quite a bit a shuffling before the official shuffle even happened.

New courses and new leaders highlighted the second of five rounds in Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri on Wednesday.

Taking on the woods of Joseph C. Miller in Jefferson City, Therese Cuevas continued her stellar week so far, taking the outright lead with a share of the hot round — 5-under — and was the only player to keep her spot on the lead card heading into Round 3.

You have been invited to enter the 2025 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships in Columbia, MO from August 16th to the 23rd based on your excellent performance during the 2024 PDGA season. The PDGA and the local worlds team are looking forward to seeing you in mid-Missouri later this year.    

2025 PDGA Amateur (MA1/FA1) Worlds Registration Schedule v1 (Subject to Change)

  • In all cases a player must be both a current 2025 PDGA Amateur member and a Certified Official with an expiration after August 23, to register. If you are not a current 2025 PDGA Amateur member and/or not a Certified Official with an expiration date after August 23, you will not be able to register.

  • Invitees are subject to all eligibility requirements per Competition Manual 1.01, and nothing in an invitation shall be construed to create a right of the recipient to participate in this event.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an Amateur-class PDGA member.
  • Must have been a current 2024 Amateur-class PDGA member by December 15, 2024.
  • Must have completed three (3) PDGA-sanctioned events during the 2024 PDGA Tour year.
  • To be eligible for a ratings-based invite (#1 or #2 below), must also have had a rated round during the 2024 PDGA Tour year.
