We have tentative plans for a day trip to Wimberly on Monday the 26th. The ranch is open that day. Plans are to pick up my CHRISTMAS BASKET, then play the meadow. I will not know until Sunday evening if we are going or not. It's all up to Santa Claus :eek:

Okay i got the measurements from Rocco for Liger Park. Simon has them and we will be out at Liger Friday at 2pm to play a round of golf and draw out the signs. Rec/am is $5 and adv/open is $8 if you want in the ace pot it is an additional $2. It costs $20 to become a TDGA member....and the benefits are going to be posted at the end of the month. We are actually going to be having a meeting toward the end of the month to vote new officers and discuss the 2006 plans. Will be posting when that is later on.

Hey we saw the guy that is in charge of the concrete for Lions...he gave me his card and said he would put the po in for the concrete....this means that we have 2 weeks to get the boxes prepared, wired and no more than 6" deep. All in all we have some work to do quicky style and get the day together to pour this course!!! I work the 8th, 9th, 11th, 14th so tell me a day that some peeps can come out and help, someone get ahold of vernon and that other dude he hangs out with, they said they would help and lets get LIGER POURED!!!!! :D:cool::o

Steelers telling the Bungles to shut the hell up. Told you Hate. I honestly couldn't tell you if that loud pop during the second play of Cinci's first drive was Carson Palmer's ACL and MCL being torn to shreads or the hopes in dreams of hapless Cinci fans everywhere.

We had 25 (7 from Waco) people at the mini today. That was our first decent tournout in three months. I would like to thank everybody that came out for that. Sad to think that the wind was the only thing stopping me from shooting in the 40's for the round. Oh well, you have to let those Waco boys win every once in a while or they wont come back.

Nassau Format:

Much like last years skins format, the first round will be for total score and ranking for the second round.
Nassau format will be used for the second round. Every card will be playing for cash or merch in the second round. The better you do first round, the more cash or merch you will be playing for the second round.

Nassau format pays out for the best front nine score, the best back nine score, and the best overall score.

Let's say your card has $21 assigned as the purse. That means the front nine, back nine and best overall score will each be worth $7 amongst the card. Ties will split the dough.

There will be many other fun ways to win discs and other prizes as the emphasis for the entire Ice Bowl will be having fun, helping out a great charity and filling the local pantry with food.

I agree on limiting the number of tags we will give out, I'm not too sure if 15 will be the number. I also agree on keeping it local until we get the CTDGA (central texas disc golf assoc.) up and running. If we get the CTDGA then we can include Waco into the scheme of things and have minis up there too. I think that we should have the mini's at different courses every time, like 5th st then Lions, then Waco east or west and keep it alternating to keep it interesting and get more people involved in the club......until then keep it local but still switch between 5th and Lions once Lions is 18 holes.

The bag tags I was thinking about getting will be aluminum and be etched somehow, either laser or stamped, with the TDGA on front and the # on the back. Tell me what you guys think or if anyone else has any ideas besides plain wood pieces /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif :DBack to work for another 16 hours :p :D

If we are looking to get metal tags (and have them etched) then we will probably have to buy at least a minumum amount of 50. Thats how the websites I checked out have it set up. Sure would be nice to have metal bag tags though.

I agree. Tags are a great incentive to become a member. Metal tags would be cool but you could probably get plastic tags for a lot less. You could get a lot more info on a plastic tag like a logo. (Check with Custom Printing in Belton).

I also think that if a tag is lost a replacement fee should be charged. Tags could also be used for several years, you will not need to make new ones every year.

Simon's mini is postponed until the 2nd Saturday in February and it will be at Lions Park. He postponed it because he and Justin are putting in the tee box signs at Lions on Saturday. Simon's Mini is not until 02/11 (verified this with him today). It will be at Lions Park and we will play 18. Players meeting at 10am and tee off at 10:30am. There might be some people there from the Belton Home Owners Association to check us out and/or learn how to play.

The TDGA meeting will be at Christin and Zanes this Sunday. It starts at 4:30pm. Yes....there is an agenda. We will start the meeting straight at 4:30 d/t the Super Bowl Activities that will be upon the TV. We will need 4 officers voted on. If you want to run for President, V-President, Treasurer or Secretary, please let me know so that ballots can be made and if you are the only one running for a position it will still need to be voted on. You will need to start paying the dues that day. If you are renewing your membership....it is $20 and if you are a new member it is $25.

Be prepared to talk about officers, bag tags and the other 9 at Lions. Also we will update everyone at the meeting with the Belton HOA that happened 2night.

Speaking of jobs...I worked all day and now I must go in tonight for another 10 hours to put in a fire system at Darnell hospital on Fort Hood. :( That's OK though because it pays big $ and means I get to take off tommorrow and sleep all day :D

The Saturday mini this month is at Lions Park put on by Simon on February 11th. Rocco's mini will be held the fourth Sunday at 5th st on February 26th.

Starting in March Rocco's mini will be at 5th st. on the 2nd Sunday and Simons mini at Lions will be the fourth Saturday. We will try to stick with that schedule.

Mos def. Don't forget that the club will start taking money for memberships on Saturday.

Rule Question: Reteeing after an OB drive

Dear Erik:

Normally in this case, the player CAN re-drive from the tee if he/she so chooses. The player actually has 3 options after throwing his/her tee shot OB:

1) The player can choose to play the disc from the previous lie. The previous lie in this case is the tee pad.

2) The player can play from a spot up to 1 meter from where the point the player's tee shot was last in-bounds.

3) The player can play from within a designated Drop Zone, if the TD (Tournament Director) has designated one for this hole.

Each of these options carries a one-throw penalty.

The TD can also limit any or all of these options as a special condition under rule 804.01.
